I have posted a new image in the Nebula section. The Cresent nebula. Lots of detail in this one.

Well, some more clear nights here have produced one nice image I have posted in the Nebulas section. The Cocoon nebula. Lots of sub exposures on this shot. Wide field.

I have more pictures posted in the Galaxy section. A shot of M31 Andromeda galaxy that I finally got enough detail to see color in the edges of the galaxy. Also another shot of NGC891 an edge on galaxy, one of my favorites.

Hello all,
I have now posted a couple of galaxies in the galaxy section.
Thay were taken last weekend, and turned out pretty good. I exspacially like the shot of the Pinwheel galaxy (M101). Lots of detail.
I am starting to get things together with my new setup and I am really happy with it. A few more tweaks and I will be able to get some more detail. I can only hope the weather here holds up and stays clear!

Hello everyone.
I have posted a couple of shots of the pelican nebula. One is of the 'Wall' region and the other is a mosaic of most of the nebula. You will find these in the nebula section. I have been pretty busy, and have more stuff to process and post, and will do them as I get time. These are some teasers.
I went ot Table Mountian a couple of weeks ago, met some really nice people and got to look through a 14" Meade SCT and a 16" Celestron SCT and the views were spectacular. I barely used my scope, except to show some nice widefield shot to others. Had a wonderful time. Skies were good most of the time, had one really bad night and one really good night, Over all another success.
Well, until next time.

Well, Finally some clear skies.
I managed to get 3 new images done. All of them aquired with my new imaging system.
I now have a Russian Alter Intes MN-74. It is a 7" Mustakov-Newtonian design, at F/4 and 780 mm focal length. It is an astrograph. It is mounted onto my New (to me) Losmandy G-11 Gemini equatorial mount. I also upgraded my camera to an ST2000XM. So I am going to be able to do some great wide field imaging with this system!!! So first light was a wide shot of M-51. Which you'll find in the galaxies section.
Then I imaged M-63 on Memorial day weekend. Also in the galaxies section.
And finally I got in some time to image M-16 which you'll find in the nebulas section.
Lastly I have put up a photo of my New setup. I will get some better photos later and post them. With all the configurations I will use. Look in the equipment Section.

Well, no stars again, but I did manage to make some changes to the links page, for easier use. I catagorized the links so you will have an easier time figuring out which ones your interested in.

Well, the clouds have cleared, for the most part, but the seeing isn't very good. So nothing new on the imaging front. On the other hand, I am upgrading my mount. Going with a German Equatorial Mount (GEM) that can handle the tracking requirements of imaging. Just picked it up today, will be a couple of weeks before I get it installed. I will post pics when it is in..
I did however add some links to the links page, some CCD tutorials and other informational sites.
Until next time.

Well, hello everyone. I am hanging around my house for a few days due to walking pneumonia. So I thought I would dig up some old stuff to post. I found an interesting file I made a while back, after I found an interesting object moving in one of my photo sets. It turned out to be an asteroid. Asteroid Eunike to be more specific. You will find the animaton in the misc section of the images.

Finally, some clear skies!!! Whoo Hoo!!!
Anyhow, I got some imaging in. I have found some of my earlier problems lay with the focus. I am still working on that aspect of my imaging. I have managed to get my telescope to track really well. I had to completely redo the Periodic Error Correction (PEC), and with the new remote control unit being much more sensitive to button presses, I was able to get a really good PEC training.
You will find a new M-51 in the Galaxies, and a new M-1 in the Nebulas.

Hello everyone. I have put up some new images of my observatory. They include the finished warm room and the garage door opener, to open the roof. Just click on the observatory button to the left. Someday I will get some clear nights and be able to image again. Been over a month now since I have been able to get out.
Oh yeah, GO SEAHAWKS!!!

Ok, the equipment page is finished.

OK, folks. I have completed the update of the database. All images have correct information with them.
I will be adding more photos soon.

Images on site are all their, but the information on the images is not correct. Will update as I get them finished.
